Restaurants in Bradford West Yorkshire England
The Kashmir Restaurant
15-17 Neal Street, Bradford (01274 732015)
This popular restaurant is a classic example of Bradford’s Asian culture. There’s nothing particularly special about how the place looks, but the food is something special and great value for money too.
Bombay Brasserie
1 Simes Street, Off Westgate, Bradford (01274 737564)
Equally popular is the Bombay Brasserie on Simes Street; although this is an altogether far more up market affair and great attention has obviously been lavished on the look of the place. What’s more the restaurant has been voted the Best Restaurant in Yorkshire in previous years.
Akbar’s
1276 Leeds Road, Thornbury, Bradford (01274 773311)
For some of the best North Indian cuisine in the area, pay a visit to Akbar’s on Leeds Road. Here you’ll discover a rather flamboyant interior including a tented ceiling, but the food is taken very seriously indeed. A lamb dish of rishan Ial is particularly good, as of course are the baltis.
Apperley Manor
Apperley Lane, Apperley Bridge, Bradford (0113 250 5626)
The Victorian Apperley Manor House on the outskirts of Bradford is home to an excellent restaurant that’s well worth investigating, even if you aren’t staying at the hotel. It has a wide-ranging international menu and does particularly good desserts so be sure to save some room.
The Old Tramshed
Saltair Roundabout, Saltaire, Bradford (01274 582111)
The Tramshed caters to a variety of different culinary needs. Customers are welcome just to stop by for a quick drink or to munch on a few selected tapas dishes. Alternatively, enjoy the gourmet experience of their brasserie menu including the likes of roast sea bass with a truffle potato served with ham and chive broth, or perhaps cannon of new season lamb with corned beef hash.
